Lucban 'foodtrip' with High School Friends

Okay i'll write this blog while watching SIGNOS a docu from GMA 7 about the climate change/ global warming.

Karlo (My highschool friend) and I had a conversation the other night at YM. He told me he'd be staying here in the province for long this summer and asked me to have planned outings so he'll enjoy his vacation from Med school. I really wanted to go to Lucban since the start of vacation at school but my sched was really filled up with work related plans. I asked him last night if he was already here and replied.. YES... so that means a first of many gimiks!

We left Lucena at around 4:30pm and went straight to Ground Zero where we had a very heavy merienda (imagine an all carbs meal; baked ravioli and picone). After merienda we were supposed to drink coffee at Cafe San Luis but as soon as we arrived... i ordered beer (hahaha yeah right choosing coffee over beer). We had a lot of reminiscin' bout high school life and that was 8 years ago! I only had 2 red horse beers; Jica and Karlo had 1 glass of Bailey's each... Tina txtd me and told me to go to Juroz where she and her barkada are drinking cocktails. We went just to tell them we were going home but she insisted we stay and drink with them... i told her i couldn't drink so much bcoz i will be driving. I only had 6 shots. Then off to 7/11... why did we go there? I was looking for this magazine which were already sold out in the malls and magazine stands in Lucena (i'll blog about the magazine next).

Anyways i dropped them off at 7/11 Lucena... we arrived at around 10:15in the evening.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

These are my Por da Boiz friends (tropa)... well in reality they are my students turned out we have many things in common... when wer inside the kitchen or the clasrum they are very keen on listening and jotting notes... but wait til u see the tropa outside... BOOZED all the way! Well anyways i'll mention their names with our alias:Tolitz-Pangz, Pery-Lampong, Dirk-Doz, Deo-Baleleng, Kevin-Mecaso, Jonathan M-Daboi, Jonathan A-Tugz.com, Ardee-Rufz, Randel-Butete, Renan-'24' and Carlo-Labi (who is now in singapore)... so what do they call me... wait for it on my future posts!

I have lots of friends... yes indeed! im a very congenial person... but among all my friends i treasure my friendship the most with 2 people; Jethro and Roel.... We've only known each other since 2003 and its only like 5 years as compared to some.... they are both like brothers to me... we know each other's secrets (hehehe well basically not all... but we tend to tell each other everything)... When we were younger (hahaha as if were already old)... we used to go out and have fun at an average of 4 times a week... now... twice a month is already an achievement (!? hehe).

Friendship is actually not base on how often you see each other...
.... diz is robert a.k.a. obet... my bestfriend... he was actually an employee/ service staff at my restaurant (giusseppe) before... we rarely see each other now (although i saw him earlier at sm and was with him yesterday)... we still see to it that our friendship is continuous... he is a 'rakizta'... a band member playing lead guitar!

How about you whats up with ur friends, tropa, kaibigan, mates?
I just posted this because the best times in my life are shared with them!
SIMPLE--- they make me happy and contented!

So who are these so- called connoisseurs? They are my 'protege'... my students...

It's a pure 'culinary competition'... to showcase the best of what HRM students have!

I was supposed to blog this in Multiply but i really think it was intended to be written here...

knife cuts like a knife-- April 17,2008

Knife... like a knife...

yes yes... our world revolves around kitchen, knife, kitchen and knife...

*well we also have other equipment but im just being bias... 'coz my fave of 'em all is my handy-dundy chef's knife!


anyways...

we were suppose to have a standardization of my new recipes at 9:00 in the morning.... (un)fortunately... i got up at 11:00am.... whaaa... what a terrible me after seeing it's already 11 in the morning... my mind froze for about a minute or so...
so what did you think happened?

a) we were not able to standardize recipes
b) my staff ate all of the ingredients (raw)--- eow!
c) i simply don'y care!

-- hehe... yup the answer is........ we did standardized the new recipes.. and it only took us about an hour and a half (1 1/2) to finish like gazilions of recipes (of course i was exaggerating)!

*sighs* *double sighs*

i went to meeting earlier and its for QUEZON TOURISM ORGANIZATION... it's actually an organization of all the establishments here in Quezon that belongs to the tourism and hospitality industry....

we talked about so many things including... yeah yeah... promoting our beloved province.... according to one of the members... we have so many tourist spots to showcase.... and i agree... im GUILTY! i belong to those who have not seen the beautiful and bountiful QUEZON.... it is truly "UNDISCOVERED PARADISE"!

Its a fresh start... finally!

haayz... been thinking for exactly 2 weeks now if i should create my own blog...

i always tell myself... "AR tumatanda ka na huh... baka di mo na masakyan mga bagong trip sa internet"...

wehh.. i have proven myself wrong again.... im not that old to have my own blog... i created my friendster account 5 years ago... and up to now mine is superior than most of my friends...

i decided to make my own multiply account... and again... i aced mastering it (well im no 'master' at this html things...)! it's just that if you really want something so bad... u can adapt to it!
